This patented folding remote provides a full size QWERTY keyboard for  search, e-mail or instant messaging applications as well as a trackball and additional keys for computer control capability and/or internet access and web browsing in a TV convergence environment. A separate bulky keyboard is unnecessary even for a complete media PC or TV connected device which accesses media content on a networked PC at another location in the home.

Custom OEM options include:

· IR or RF Transmission (RF can be custom or Bluetooth).

· Remote key layout and functions — can be tailored to match an existing remote control look and feel to ease user acceptance.

· Wired option for gaming etc.
